I knew that a lot of the reason that I disliked Lubbock was because living was so hard. It was hard to afford gas, groceries, rent, utilities, and anything else. As I will be starting my full time job pretty soon here my outlook has changed. Yes it is hard to be away from family for such a long time. But, I am enjoying the fact that I finally can take care of myself, ourselves. I can't thank everyone enough for how supportive you all have been, I wouldn't have been able to survive without you. Our prayers have been answered!
I am now the Assistant Manager of University Pointe, www.upointe.com. It is a great opportunity and I am so excited that I will be in charge of Marketing, Event Planning, and Leasing. I will have a staff of 4-6 residents who actually do quite a bit of showing apartments and that will help me out a lot. It is about a 3 minute drive from our apartment and I will work 830-530 Monday through Friday! I start next week Tuesday. After Mom, Dad and Casey visit this weekend my motorcycle will be running as well :) So I can take that to work!
Kyle has started to volunteer for the Strength and Conditioning Coach here at Texas Tech. Working for this guy gives Kyle the opportunity to grow and learn in the profession he desires. It will hopefully also give him the opportunity to get his CSCCa. This of which he would not be able to get under most other Strength and Conditioning coaches because of this one's experience and certifications. (http://www.cscca.org/)
I'm so excited for my parents and little sister to get here on Friday (Saturday morning)! They are making a 15 hour drive in one day JUST so see us! We will be going to the windmill museum, checking out what I like to call "stepfordville" and showing them the Strip. I also plan on getting them to a Texas Barbecue. Our apartment is small, but we will have so much fun filling it with Family we love!
I also have been getting a nice amount of Photography work that seems to be picking up quite nicely! It is awesome to be able to do what I love, even in a town where I am not known as well. Its nice to have the word spread and people asking for me.
Also, a very happy birthday to my sister Heidi! I love you!
Well, we need to get to working out, and then I need to get to my part time job, and then I need to get to finishing Andrea's Sr Photos! So I will update again soon!
Love and Miss you all!
